In the municipal seat of Xochitepec, it is found the convent of "San Juan Evangelista" founded by the Franciscans in the sixteenth century, it had its beginnings as a small chapel on the south side of the current building, later it was developing into a convent neoclassical style, in 1881 was completed the dome, then was divided leaving the Chapel Street on the south side and the Convent on the north side, it is currently Xochitepequense Cultural Center and municipal government offices.
